Terms of service

Last updated: 22/09/2026

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of this website and any service booked through it. By accessing this website or booking a Pre-Screen, Clarity Session, Verdict + Plan, or Accountability Package, you agree to be bound by these terms in full. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, you should not use this website or book a service.

1. Identity of the service provider

This website and the services described on it are provided by Melissa, registered to trade as the Elinor Collective, ABN 15 158 375 709.

2. Description of services

The Elinor Collective provides the following services, each governed by these terms:

  • A Pre-Screen, comprising a written intake submission reviewed asynchronously;

  • A Clarity Session, comprising a single live consultation of approximately 30 to 45 minutes, conducted by phone or video;

  • An optional Verdict + Plan, comprising a specific written recommendation, offered only where a Clarity Session is assessed as an appropriate fit;

  • An optional Accountability Package, comprising a structured 8 week program of scheduled check-ins.

Current pricing for each service is published on the Services page of this website and may be updated from time to time without retrospective effect on services already booked and paid for.

3. Nature of general website content

Content published on this website other than in the course of a booked service — including blog articles, frequently asked questions — is provided for general informational purposes only. Such content does not constitute personalised advice, is not tailored to your individual circumstances, and should not be relied upon as a substitute for a Pre-Screen or Clarity Session.

4. Booking and payment

Payment in full for a Pre-Screen or Clarity Session is required at the time of booking. Where a Verdict + Plan is offered and accepted, payment is processed separately, at the conclusion of the relevant Clarity Session. Payment for the Accountability Package is processed in full at the commencement of that program. All fees are quoted in Australian dollars and are inclusive of GST, where applicable.

5. Cancellation, rescheduling, and non-attendance

A booking may be cancelled or rescheduled without charge where at least 24 hours' notice is provided prior to the scheduled time. When refunding for a cancelled booking, the administrative processing fee will be subtracted from the refunded total. Cancellations made with less notice than this, and non-attendance without prior notice, will result in forfeiture of the fee paid for that booking, and a new booking (with associated payment) will be required to reschedule. Where the practitioner is required to cancel or reschedule a booking, the client will be offered, at their election, a full refund or a rescheduled booking at no additional cost.

6. Refund policy

Fees paid for a service that has been delivered are non-refundable. This reflects that payment is made for the professional time and judgement applied in delivering the service, and not for any guaranteed outcome. Where the Accountability Package’s agreed milestones are not met, the treatment of the associated deposit is governed by the terms disclosed at the time that service is booked, and does not constitute a penalty.

7. Nature and limits of the service

The Elinor Collective does not provide therapy, counselling, psychology, medical treatment, legal advice, or financial advice. No diagnosis of any medical or psychological condition is made or implied at any stage of this service. Where the practitioner forms the view that a client's circumstances would be more appropriately addressed by a licensed medical, psychological, legal, or financial professional, a referral will be provided. The client acknowledges that acting upon, and following up on, any such referral remains their sole responsibility, and that the Elinor Collective accepts no responsibility for the outcome of any referred engagement.

8. Confidentiality

Information disclosed by a client in the course of a Pre-Screen or Clarity Session is treated as confidential, and will not be disclosed to any third party without the client's consent, except in the following circumstance: where information disclosed indicates a risk of imminent harm to the client or to another person, that information may be disclosed to emergency services or another appropriate authority, without further consent, to the extent reasonably necessary to prevent that harm. At times the court can subpoena records if you are involved in a legal matter, however before anything is released you will be notified.

9. Child welfare and reporting obligations

Where information disclosed during a Pre-Screen or Clarity Session raises a concern about the safety or wellbeing of a child, that information may fall within the disclosure circumstance described in clause 8 above, and may be shared with an appropriate authority without further consent, to the extent reasonably necessary to protect that child.

Separately, and regardless of this service, all adults in Queensland are legally required under the Criminal Code (Qld) to report to police any information that gives rise to a reasonable belief that a child sexual offence has occurred. This is a universal legal duty that applies to the practitioner, as it applies to every adult.

10. Use of artificial intelligence tools

The practitioner may, from time to time, use artificial intelligence tools to assist with administrative functions including session note organisation, preparation, and drafting of a Verdict + Plan. Any client information processed using such tools remains subject to the confidentiality obligations set out in clause 8 and the Privacy Policy, and is not used to train any third-party model beyond the ordinary operation of the tool in question.

11. Intellectual property

All text, design elements, logos, session methodology, and other original material published on this website, or provided to a client in the course of a session, remain the property of the Elinor Collective. No licence is granted to a client to reproduce, distribute, adapt, or commercially exploit this material beyond personal use of a Verdict + Plan prepared specifically for that client.

12. Client conduct and termination by the practitioner

The practitioner may decline to commence, or may terminate, a session where a client's conduct is abusive, threatening, or otherwise inappropriate, or where the subject matter presented falls outside the scope of services described in these terms. Where a session is terminated on this basis prior to its substantial completion, the practitioner is not required to process a refund. All individuals have the right to be treated with respect, and that expectation is to be upheld when engaging in the Elinor Collective service.

13. No guarantee of outcome

Any recommendation, plan, or referral provided under these terms reflects the practitioner's professional judgement, formed on the basis of information provided by the client. It does not constitute a guarantee that any particular decision, course of action, or outcome will be suitable, successful, or free of adverse consequence. The client retains sole responsibility for decisions made and actions taken following any service provided.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability of the practitioner and Elinor Collective arising from or in connection with a service provided under these terms is limited to the amount paid by the client for that specific service. Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified under the Australian Consumer Law.

15. Force majeure

Neither party will be liable for any failure or delay in performing their obligations under these terms where such failure or delay arises from circumstances reasonably beyond that party's control, including illness, technology or platform failure, or other unforeseeable disruption.

16. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court or tribunal of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be severed, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

17. Amendment

These terms may be amended from time to time. The version published on this website at the time a service is booked will govern that booking. Continued use of this website following the publication of amended terms constitutes acceptance of those terms in respect of future bookings.

18. Governing law

These terms are based on Australian law.
